Long Promised, Fiber-to-the-Home Now a Reliable Reality
Team Fishel becomes first member of the Corning Total Access Program (TAP)SM
For many years, hardware and software manufacturers, Internet service and network providers, business, industry and individuals have all dreamed of the day when broadband voice, video and data services could be delivered to the home on high quality fiber optic cable. Today, Team Fishel is making that dream a reality. And in the process, it is partnering with other industry leaders in helping to bring about this new American revolution.
Corning Cable Systems, part of Corning Incorporated's telecommunications segment, recently announced that they have named Team Fishel as the first member of its exclusive Corning Total Access Program (TAP)SM. Corning's TAP provides highly qualified broadband specialists such as Team Fishel with the tools necessary to ensure successful FTTx deployments. Certified TAP members receive all-inclusive access to Corning's innovative and reliable FTTx solution. After completing specialized training in the design and installation of optical access networks, TAP members are able to offer their customers up to a 10-year extended product warranty on complete Corning FTTx solutions (drop cables and assemblies carry a 3-year warranty).
"We are very excited to become the first communications contractor in Corning's Total Access Program," said John Phillips, president and CEO of Team Fishel. "With Corning's support, we can add value for the service provider and residential developer by bringing complete end-to-end FTTx solutions for the communities we connect."
"Together, Corning and Team Fishel can provide developers with the technical engineering, construction and installation resources to fast-track a new FTTx community and help increase the value of their planned community," said Rick Keeler, director of market development for Team Fishel.
